ネパールについての学び―OKバジ講演会の予習ー（6月19日授業報告）Learning about Nepal

笑点形式で始まった、OKバジの予習！

    今日のゼミ活動はなんと、先生の研究室で行われました。入室してすぐに、椅子に座らせられて、何か始まるのやらとわくわくしていると、突然、日本テレビの「笑点」の出だしの音楽が流れ始め、ゼミ生3人と関先生が登場しました。この3人のゼミ生は昨年のネパールゼミ研修に参加した人たちです。

　来週に開催するネパール支援家OKバジの講演会の予習を「笑点」形式で楽しく進めるというのが企画者の発想でした。ゼミ生の質問に先生を含めた4名が答え、よい答えには座布団一枚を、変な答えの場合は座布団が取られます。

笑いの絶えない授業でしたが、内容は極めて真面目。心の豊かさとはなにか、幸せとはなにか、貧困とは何か、ネパールからの帰国後にどのような心境変化があったのか。OKバジさんは何を思いながら長年ネパールで活動しているのか、などなど。来週のOKバジさんの講演会がますます楽しみになりました。

面白い企画で笑うゼミ生

一番笑っていたのは先生かもしれない？？

楽しい授業でも真剣にメモをとる

   Today, we took a class at professor Seki’s research lab for the time this year. His lab is quite comfortable to stay at actually, and the atmosphere of the class was so warm and friendly. 
   Usually, the topics of the seminar classes are related to cross-cultural communication. However, today, we learned about Nepal, the country in South Asia, because we will hold a lecture meeting by OK Baji who is one of the most famous Nepal support activists. 
   Seki Seminar has been supporting poor people in Nepal for the last ten years, and our predecessor seminar students had published a book about OK Baji together with our professor! Thanks to this class we could gain lots of useful information about Nepal and OK Baji’s activities. We are so looking forward to meeting Mr. Kakimi (OK baji) next week.
